WESTPORT 18 & 19 SECTION 404 INDIVIDUAL PERMIT
Fort Worth, Texas
Hillwood Development Company
A Section 404 Individual Permit was acquired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Fort Worth District by Peloton’s environmental scientists for this industrial site consisting of two buildings totaling more than 1 million square feet. The Individual Permit application included a delineation of waters of the U.S., a review of habitats for threatened and endangered species, pre-application coordination with the USACE, alternatives analysis, public notice, and coordination with regulatory agencies (Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Environmental Protection Agency, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service). The project also included acquiring a Section 402 Tier II certification from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Peloton’s environmental scientists incorporated engineered stormwater products into the design to treat runoff. Peloton also provided recommendations on the building layout (to reduce impacts and lower the mitigation requirement for unavoidable impacts), facilitated the mitigation bank credit sales transaction, and provided construction oversight.
