Peloton Land Solutions, a Westwood company engineers, hydrologists, and environmental scientists worked together to design this industrial site consisting of two buildings totaling more than 1 million SF located near the BNSF Alliance Intermodal Facility. This included the civil design for the building sites, driveways, truck courts, employee parking lots, utilities, and storm drainage.
Our hydrologists performed an analysis of the watershed affected by these buildings (Henrietta Creek and a tributary), including an existing detention pond originally designed and built to serve an industrial property to the north and the downstream channel from this pond to the confluence with Henrietta Creek. New stormwater infrastructure was designed including a detention pond to the south, a 1,900-linear-foot trapezoidal channel with four box culvert crossings (for access driveways)to the north, and a stormdrain system for the buildings and paved areas. Truck court stormwater detention was utilized to minimize onsite pipe sizes. Our team also prepared a LOMR for the new channel, crossings, and existing pond.
Our environmental scientists acquired a Section 404 Individual Permit from USACE and Section 402 Tier II certification from TCEQ. Read more here.
GAIN GROUND: Peloton Land Solutions, a Westwood company was able to reroute two natural drainages on the subject property, obtaining a Section 404 individual permit for our client and gaining acres of developable area. This saved the client significant mitigation costs and shortened permitting time.
