MELLOW JOHNNY'S BIKE SHOP/PRESS CAFE - THE TRAILHEAD AT CLEARFORK

The Clearfork Trailhead is a mixed-used development located along the Trinity River. The Phase 1 building features Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop and Press Café. Our team provided a wide range of services for this development including preliminary and final platting; civil engineering design; water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater studies; franchise utility coordination; and surveying. Peloton Land Solutions, a Westwood company worked closely with the client, the architect, and landscape architect to provide pedestrian interaction with the Trinity River trail system, as well as integrate landscaped bioswale features into the stormwater system. Building off The Trailhead’s initial concept as a vibrant gathering place for fitness enthusiasts, The Trailhead Cycling + Fitness Center has quickly become a premier destination for cycling, fitness, and health patrons. In its first location outside of Austin, Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop operates and manages the cycling component of the 13,000 square foot Center located at the riverfront of the Trinity Trails, and provides a direct connection to 40 miles of hike-and-bike trails. Our team provided the site civil design of 1.6 acres of commercial land that included the bike shop, café, and associated site specific improvements. Services included the engineering, design, project coordination, and construction phase services for the site, including grading and erosion control, on-site hydrology and hydraulics calculations, on-site private utility design and layout, and horizontal control and paving layout.
