2,100 acres
The Heartland, a 2,100-acre master-planned community currently under construction near the City of Forney, will include 7,600 residential units with a population of more than 25,000 people at full buildout. Peloton Land Solutions, a Westwood company took over this project, which encompasses several Municipal Utility Districts (MUD), from a prior engineer and immediately added value by working with the TCEQ to ensure service to future connections.
Our professionals performed land use master planning and detailed land planning for future development areas, master planning for the overall sewer system, drainage studies of floodplain and detention ponds, and design of infrastructure to serve the next phases of single-family homes. Site civil design of Crandall ISD’s newest middle school, a 192,000 SF building on 27-acre campus, was also performed in-house. In addition, our team is providing site civil design for the new Crandall Elementary School #6, a 2-story 96,000 SF building on a 9.5-acre campus, that will house 850 students.
Peloton Land Solutions, a Westwood company is providing construction management assistance which includes bidding district projects, review and approval of contractor pay applications and change orders, construction monitoring, and final acceptance of district facilities. Our professionals also perform district tasks such as assistance with developer reimbursements through the sale of municipal bonds and coordination with the district administrator and operator in the maintenance, operations, and repair of existing facilities.
Heartland’s extensive facilities will include more than 400 acres of parks, a 35-acre stocked lake with fishing pier, two community centers, and miles of hike and bike trails.
