Hillwood Development Company
Size
872 acres
This 872-acre development is home to multiple large-scale industrial manufacturing and distribution centers including Stanley Black & Decker, Amazon, LG Electronics, Walmart, and Callaway Golf. Each site contains employee parking, truck courts, trailer storage areas, and ample landscaping. Peloton Land Solutions, a Westwood company provided entitlement, planning, surveying, and engineering services for the sites, as well as the design of off-site infrastructure. The project involved the abandonment of 6,000 linear feet of existing county road and the design of a temporary roadway to maintain traffic flow through the area. Our engineers modeled the subsurface conveyance and connected above-ground detention and conveyance systems to handle large runoff volumes, providing a cost savings on drainage infrastructure.
The development is situated at the confluence of Henrietta and Elizabeth Creeks, and the two major streams combine to drain more than 90 square miles of watershed. Peloton Land Solutions, a Westwood company evaluated reclamation scenarios to recover developable land without causing impacts to adjacent or downstream properties. In addition, Our hydrologists made accommodations for a regional city park which required hydraulic analysis, the use of energy dissipation measures, careful design of outfall structures, and close coordination with the City of Fort Worth. Alliance Park will provide 164 acres of walkable workforce amenities.
