Tim Whitefield, P.E., CFM has joined Peloton’s expanding team of engineering professionals. With 11 years of experience, Tim is a seasoned hydrologist and hydraulic engineer, and Certified Floodplain Manager. He specializes in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling in support of watershed studies, master drainage plans and roadway and land development projects. He has experience designing channel improvements, storm water detention ponds, culverts and erosion protection, as well as sizing bridge crossings and preparing scour analyses. Tim is intimately familiar with FEMA data submittal requirements, including preparation of CLOMR and LOMR submittals, and has completed numerous such submittals resulting from federal, municipal and private channel and drainage improvements. He has also performed floodplain mapping studies in Texas, Arkansas and North Carolina for FEMA’s Map Modernization Project.
Tim’s sustainable design experience includes stream and river restoration and design of storm water improvements that incorporate water quality controls into traditional pipe and detention alternatives. He routinely uses hydrologic and hydraulic modeling platforms such as XP-SWMM, InfoWorks, StormCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and GIS.
