Westport 18 & 19 Industrial Site Design
WESTPORT INDUSTRIAL SITE DESIGN
Peloton engineers, hydrologists, and environmental scientists worked together to design this industrial site consisting of two buildings totaling more than 1 million square feet located near the BNSF Alliance Intermodal Facility in North Fort Worth. This involved the civil design for the building sites, driveways, truck courts, and employee parking lots. Peloton hydrologists performed an analysis of the watershed affected by these buildings which included Henrietta Creek and HEN-1, a tributary to Henrietta Creek. This included the analysis of an existing detention pond originally designed and built to serve an industrial property to the north, and the downstream channel from this pond to the confluence with Henrietta Creek. New stormwater infrastructure was designed including a detention pond to the south, a trapezoidal channel and four culvert crossings (access driveways) to the north, and a storm drain system for the buildings and paved areas. Peloton also prepared a LOMR for the new channel and crossings, and existing pond. Truck court stormwater detention was utilized to minimize onsite storm drain pipe sizes. Our environmental scientists acquired a Section 404 Individual Permit from USACE and Section 402 Tier II certification from TCEQ. Read more about the environmental work here.
